Kickstarted course creation with Zapier and Make tutorials, completed software demos, set up custom tools, and finished all lesson scripting for next week's filming.
Week's Focus and Main Achievements
Course Outline and Task Breakdown: Kicked off the week with automation tutorials for Zapier and Make, teaching students to create daily email digests and task organizers. Outlined key tasks in ClickUp and sorted core messages for each slide.
Initial Filming and Scripting: Completed initial software demo lessons for Canva and PhraseExpress, and also tackled lesson videos and screencasts. Set up a custom solution to duplicate WordPress posts using snippets of code.
Template Creation and Custom GPT Setup: Developed cohesive lesson templates and installed useful tools like Simple Autoscroll for smoother video script scrolling. Enhanced course material with detailed demos for ClickUp, Airtable, and Trello.
Research and Process Improvement: Improved video course scripting techniques and ensured all sections were ready for the upcoming filming phase.
Scripting Completion: Wrapped up the week with all lessons fully scripted, perfectly setting up the filming process for next week.
Next Week’s Plan
Complete the video lessons and software demos. These are taking longer than expected. Each will take 40-60 mins to shoot, roughly edit, and render. The other "normal lessons" where I'm talking from a slide, instead of demonstrating software, should good much quicker. 🙏
Tool Stack
PhraseExpress: Boosts productivity by automating repetitive typing tasks and managing text snippets.
ClickUp: A versatile project management tool that streamlines your workflow and keeps all your tasks organized.
Airtable: Combines the features of a spreadsheet and a database to help you track projects and collaborate seamlessly.
Trello: An intuitive visual board for managing tasks and projects, making team collaboration super easy and fun.
Worked on automations tutorials for Zapier and Make. These are mini-projects for my students to learn the Make and Zapier interface and get hands-on with a mini-project to make their first automation.
In Zapier we make a daily email digest that showcases Zapie'r email digest function and uses Gmail to send the digest.
In Make we make task organizer that collects tasks from multiple sources (email, Trello, Google sheets) then asks ChatGPT to organise them into a table with due dates and priority so you can see at a glance all of your upcoming tasks

For these blog post I needed a simple way to duplicate posts. There's a template post I use for these updates and wanted to easily duplicate it but was surprised to see that WordPress doesn't have this function natively. So to copy a wordpress post you have to either manually copy and paste all of the content blocks or install a plugin to duplicate it. Instead I asked ChatGPT to create the code for me and used Snippets plugin to run this in the background.
It's super easy to extend functionality of WordPress using Snippets of code.
